Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray.
Prompt for July 7 : Write a poem or piece of prose around the words “in the stillness”
There is an unsung calm lingering
in the air of twilight.
We call it a day when,
it is not really over.
Night – too has not stepped in.
There is a sense of mystery floating,
in the stillness of evening.
The blazing sun is not gone,
he still stands a witness.
The cooling moon is present,
not dominating the sky with stars.
The sun and the moon and the stars wait.
I wonder what calls.
Time and I wait.
For an unseen event in deep blue,
or an unheard song so sweet,
or a cosmic play beyond realms.
Imagination and I, hand in hand stood by.
-we watched to bear the view-
-it was hidden from us- as was yesterday-
All we could see was,
the night and day in a purple embrace,
Twilight got locked in between.
