When all else fails,
and the wind will strain,
When your empire falls,
and the rivers dry up,
When the sun leaves a trail
of pricking yester pain,
Rise above the clouds
Like an eagle of prey.
Make your eyes sharp and
your wings strong.
Hone your shrills well
and harden your nerves.
Hunt down those reasons,
devour them raw.
Push it down your guts,
and digest them real slow.
Your blood will now
carry those reasons.
Your heart still beats,
and your eyes still blink.

You may now shout
For the whole world to hear-
