The Proposal

The wind one day, proposed me-
the “home” he searched,
he found in me.
I was the warmth of sunlight,
he wanted to soak in during rain.
I smelled like spring whose
cheer he wanted to retain.
I was the color for his fall,
and snow for his winter.
The sleep for his eyes at night,
and his sight for the day.
I, for him ,was the oasis,
and he a weary traveler in the desert.
He hugged my fingers,
when they held him free.
He played the music for
my hair to dance to his tune.
Each colored strand owned him,
and he, them all.
He felt content
when he kissed away
the pearls of sweat from my neck.
My myriad colors he loved.
His lungs were alive,
when it was filled with my scent.
He talked to me with
the rustle of leaves,
and at night with the hush of a breeze.

He gifted me dandelions and
I blew them away with a kiss.
We met under the trees of bloom,
and he showered me with all his love.
We lived in a dream and
the dream never came to end.
He always knew my answer
but he does the same.
He came to me with the question of love,
in the same subtle manner,
and I always replied
with his dearest smile.

  1. Does this kinda love even exist?❤️

You took me to a dream land!

The moment this popped-up on my screen, I was wondering if you were not around and that’s what you too mentioned at the end. How are you? Were you in India from so long? Hope all is well.😊

I was in India for more then 5 months. Went to India for a short vacation and then got stuck there due to the lock down. My husband and I have been living in UAE since our wedding in 2012. and this time, my husband was in UAE and me with my son was in India all the while since February !! And when I felt it safe to travel, I did and now back in Dubai 🙂
