What do you See by Sadje
The challenge is to make a post on a picture given (original story, poem or a caption) and then to create a pingback.

Saturday Mix – Opposing Forces, 4 July 2020
Challenge is to make use of antithesis in writing. We will need to use the two opposing words in your response – which can be poetry or prose.
Our words this week are:
– ascend and descend
– hope and despair

In hope, I ascend.
My mind heaves a sigh of relief,
When the cage of weight opens wide.
The roots of despair gone deep
into my flesh thro
ugh the skin,
slowly loosens up.
My blood, once contaminated with
the seeds of revenge cleans itself.
I close my eyes and close in my palms,
to feel the confabulations of mind
with the body- when free.
I am at trance.
I float like clouds in the sky,
I dance like the dandelions.

I hear the humming bird,
humming its tune into my ears.
Its long beak waking me up,
calling to rejoice.

Opening my eyes – my third,
I see the world, a different one.
I hear wings fluttering.
I feel wind through my body.
Light and subtle,
A sparrow carries my soul now.
Light and subtle,
I glide freely into the bird.
Now I descend
from one world to another,
from one life to another.
I am free now, for I am a bird of spirit.
